Is this ŠK Slovan Bratislava's ground? The Corgon Liga is the top division in Slovakia (Corgon being the brewer which sponsors the competition). We learn something new every day, eh?

Thank you Dave. Thats right Mr Downs, it was a match between Slovan and FC Nitra, and yes Corgon was a cracking pint!! They are building a new national stadium but the goverment have put that on hold.
They are however building a very impressive "Zimny Stadion" or "Ice Stadium" to you and me which will be ready for the 2011 World Ice Hockey Championships.
Maybe SK Slovan Bratislavia could be a more appropriate heading?

It is indeed SK Slovan's ground Barton. To give it it's proper name, the TEHELNE POLE STADION (built 1944, 30,000 all seater) was where Cav and I were baton charged by the local army/police whilst watching England a few years ago. Bratislava also has two other teams - namely ASK INTER BRATISLAVA, and FC ARTMEDIA - who play their games at the PASIENKY STADION (13,000 all seater) and the PETRZALKA STADION (capacity 8,000) respectively.
