I know we have a 24 hour recall clause on Rice, but I would be very suprised if we would be able just to recall him for cup games only, I'm sure there will be something in loan rules that will prevent us from doing this. You won't be able to keep recalling him for each round as there is a limit to the amount of loans a club can have in a season & surely by recalling him will end that current loan agreement & then a new one will have to be enforced to then loan him back to Truro until the next time.

Ant as the reg secretary for the S.D.L and also being on the Devon F.A, I'm sure you are asking this question, based On what would be the rules for local football. Are all the rules the same for all levels Of football? Or does the professional game have different rule and regulations.
I know that there must be some things that are different, you take the punishment handed out by the Devon F.A. as you know players can get bans for some length Of time. Its not unusual for players to receive bans as long as 60 days, this would never happen very Often to players In the top flight, maybe Its because the clubs would simply kick up too much, about having their star players, banned for any long period.
If It is the case that there would be a limit On how many times Rice could be recalled and then loaned out again, the club needs to have another plan.I understand that both Bevan and Poke, will not be able to play In cup games, so If we do progress In any cup competition, we may need to have another keeper, who Is not cup tied.

Presumably, if we were able to buy Bevan in January, that would solve this problem?
Hopefully we get him just in time for an FA cup 3rd round match away at Newcastle, where we continue that club's humiliation, and our renaissance.
Well, we can dream can't we ......

Presumably, if we were able to buy Bevan in January, I do believe this an option Bucks is pursuing!

Interesting. I wouldn't have thought that with a quality keeper in the team already that Buckle would be looking to add a permenant addition to the squad - especially with the downturn in crowds.
Hopefully the latter will be remedied by the word getting around that the team are playing good attacking and progressive football that is getting results!

Yes but we must not forget that Poke Is only on loan and will not It seems play In any cup games, plus the talk was when we knew he was coming was that he could well move on If any offer was made to his club in January. Bevan Is also I understand not playing In our cup games, but If he did not feature for his own club, could play for us say If we were to sign him.I think It comes down to two things here, one will Rice be able to keep coming back to play any cup games and two will we need to take any action as It will depend on how far we go in any cup competitions.

Whilst Rice is precluded from playing for Truro in the two cups (FA Trophy& Cup) that would render him "cup tied" for us, surely neither can he "too and fro'" between the two clubs once he comes back here to play in any cup tie. So that if and when he plays in a cup tie for us, his Truro loan will be over. At least that's how I read matters, and I would hope the club has done it's home work on this as I'm sure they cocked up last season when recalling Rayner from Boston only to be barred from using him in the FA Trophy final. With two keepers currently in on loan whilst the sole keeper we have of our own out on loan into the bargain, it is a situation that both needs addressing anyway and in view of the impending rounds of the Trophy and Cup - it needs addressing fast! Bevan WAS a keeper Bucks held as an "option" in the summer when the situation with Poke was dragging on and getting frustrating for him, so I would expect the manager to pursue any chance there is of landing the Big Man permanently.
