Very disappointing! I gave enough of a prompt for a good healthy debate but despite 51 members logging on since I posted only 3 members have posted on the thread, and they all seem to be members of the same choir. Due to an obvious lack of interest the Take That tickets have been withdrawn (and no Rags I don't have to give examples of socialist policies as my post was clearly tongue in cheek) My apologies, Stefano, I misunderstood and thought it was the TT tickets that were tongue-in-cheek and not the BLiar = socialism. For what its worth TT gave one of the best live "shows" I've ever seen. I was working and personally I don't go to gigs to see shows but had that been the case then Take That would have been up there with Prince '88.

(although Rags and I could have gone to see them together) I'd prefer to see Bros...

Any chance we can cut the "Bliar" stuff out?
Whilst I'm sure it was hilarious for the first person who thought of this formulation (just as it was for the first person who came up with "EUSSR" or "Torygraph", it actually becomes half as amusing each time it's repeated.

A desire to avoid losing his core vote in outer London boroughs who will fear a mass migration of HB claimants from inner London to their areas. I'd laugh my bollocks off if twee Richmond On Thames turned Labour as a result, but looking at the cost of the private rented sector in those leafy outer boroughs; I think such displaced people will more than likely find themselves having to move to places like Dagenham, Feltham and West Hounslow where the very spirit of Vicky Pollard is alive and well in the day time cafes and supermarkets. Tory voting Southend On Sea might have a shock coming to it and remember it is the private rental sector that gobbles up most of the housing benefit in this country anyway by letting properties to local authorities who need to fulfil their statutory obligations without the housing stock they were denied through the Thatcher "Grab Yer Council House" pantomime that the gullible and the selfish were recruited as "True Blues" by when they should never have been anything of the sort. I think Richmond is unlikely, but parts of other boroughs might not be. Remember, Ken only requires a 3% swing to win in 2012. Boris's 'outburst' is simply good politics, whether one 'approves' of it or not.

It is not always easy on a forum with the written word to know exactly where somebody is coming from. I certainly wouldn't have been making deep political statements at 7.30am, but I thought that as I was off to work and knew I wouldn't get a chance to view during the day I would throw in a teaser that would give me an interesting read when I got home. Alas no but never mind

I ain't no member of no choir.

Due to an obvious lack of interest the Take That tickets have been withdrawn (and no Rags I don't have to give examples of socialist policies as my post was clearly tongue in cheek) Stefano, we were once a football forum and would have at least five or six threads getting posted on each day in the Torquay United Room alone. What has happen? sadly our members found on here they could not just express their own opinions without being shouted down and being made to feel they should not even hold views at all. The fans of our club have had to endure reading on here so many attacks against them by so called fellow fans and the once great feeling we had on here that we were one big family and part of a great community has been lost due to over powering members who only want the TFF to be what they want it to be and not let the TFF be what it should be. We have gone from being a football forum to a party political broadcast station for the labour party and people really come to this site to read about our football club. We need far more threads started in the Torquay United room and Rob and I need to restore the right atmosphere on the TFF to encourage our lost posters and non posters to get busy on their keyboards. That is going to start happening over the weekend and we will be putting up a few things to explain the way we have to go forward on here to restore the former glory this forum had until recently. Dave What a load of nonsense. The reason people are not posting is more likely because debate is being so stifled on here by you and your fear of people disagreeing with you.

Your are entitled to your opinion oldfan and despite what you may say I have no problems with anyone disagreeing with me and never had my friend.
It is the insults and abuse that has dammaged the TFF and nothing more,

Don`t panic Phil all the TT tickets have sold out so your not in any danger of obtaining one! Makes you wonder what the worlds coming to when Take That sell out of tickets in a matter of hours, I prefer dental pain myself to having to listen to that crap!

Stefano I really have not giving you a public telling off and I can't see where you have got that from and my post was not aimed at you in any shape or form. My observation was made as posts are hardly ever being made in the Torquay United Room and all it has been lately is politics.
It is not me who has complained on here before about what others have posted in the rooms set of for that propose.
A TFF charter will be posted on this forum later today and while Rob and I expect not everyone will agree with it, we feel its necessary so we all know and understand what the TFF is about.

Steve I think Dave meant the balance of the forum has in the past been mainly football orientated but now has swung right around and the football side of things is minimal in comparison to other topics, I feel he may not have made himself quite clear enough on that point! Posts made about football on here recently are rare compared to the Social Cleansing and other political debates going on, personally I find these other topics rather mind numbing after a while and there is very little else to read or respond to that has any relevance to TUFC, I think Dave was trying to say that we are mainly gathered on this site because the general core interest of all of us is surely TUFC. You coming today? Hope to see you there!

Dave, some of the stuff chucked your way recently has been out of order, and has been actually been quite uncomfortable to read. I’m pretty sure I am not alone in feeling that way.
I will wait to see what your charter says, but I do hope you don't do anything too drastic. You've always said that threads that go 'off topic' tend to be the most interesting ones, and whilst I can see an argument for keeping politics out of the football sections of the forum, it would be a bit perverse if anything touching on politics was somehow proscribed elsewhere. One of the great things about this forum is the eclectic and varied subjects – from days out, to music, and yes, to politics....it's what makes this forum a unique place, a touch odd at times perhaps, but that's its charm. 'The Pop Side' section of the TFF says "Any subject you like"; it would be a shame to see that changed to "Any subject you like, except....".
