And hopefully not be abusive to fellow members by stating that their opinions are "rubbish" or "a totally ridiculous thing to say" or similar. Perhaps I am just a bit thick skinned Rags but I wouldn't take either of those expressions as being 'abusive' if directed at me. I never have any problem if people disagree with me, and they frequently do the b******s!. Me neither

Personally, I would answer back, and did so on both occasions, but I know that Dave is trying to protect some of the more fragile readers of TFF and I would hate him to inadvertently offend any of them with an ill-considered quip.

Rags very soon you will be able to read a statement that will detail what the TFF is about and what it stands for and what conditions come with membership and that will make things all nice and clear so we can then hopefully just debate the topics running on the forum.

Rob and I won't be protecting anyone Rags but we will be ensuring in future all our members will be able to post freely without fear of abuse, bullying, or being made to feel they are not even worthy of holding an opinion and here on the TFF we welcome those who come to join in debate with us and throw out the ones who just want to disrupt the forum.

I hope it's not felt that there should be too many changes as I believe in only two and a half years it has been a big success .... player sponsorships, programme pages, charity work, not too mention the outstanding Club History Section, Programme Section, and equally impressive Other Football & Sports Section. Keep going and keep improving!

............. we welcome those who come to join in debate with us and throw out the ones who just want to disrupt the forum. Do you really think you have some members of this forum who do not join in debate and "just want to disrupt the forum" then Dave? I'm struggling to define one member in that category and would be interested to learn who you believe they are. Now if you wanted to identify , members who have misused the PM facilty to abuse and threaten fellow users that would be a different proposition; and I could certainly help you with identifying one or two who have been the recipients of such threats.

There will not be any changes being made to the forum Stefano and we are going backwards not forwards as far as numbers posting on the forum and that is something that has to be addressed and will be if we are not to end up with just the loudest left on their own.

I talked at great length with the member you are referring to merse and told him just what I thought about it all and I also helped you sort out your PM box so you would not have any further problems. I have nothing to say on anything else you have asked at this time, I was asked if a meeting could be held to discuss the concerns about the members who have stopped posting and what should be done about it and we intend to get this forum turned around again to the forum it was once and should be.

Well let's hope all those members "who have stopped posting" add to the level of debate then.

Well let's hope all those members "who have stopped posting" add to the level of debate then. They will in time once they learn they can post and share their opinions as they should be able to do free of all the things that drove them away in the first place.

Well let's hope all those members "who have stopped posting" add to the level of debate then. My personal opinion is that a large proportion of those who have stopped posting over the past 2 months were the ones most guilty of disrupting the forum. I could be wrong...
