In most things In life I have always used my first name. When I was forced by Unigate Dairies, to go self employed, I called my business, Dave's Dairy.
Later when I became an entertainer, I called myself Davybeat. Dave as my name and Beat as my music was from the 50's 60's and 70's and many groups from those times used Beat in their name.
On forums I have always been Dave R, but have now changed that to just Dave. Most now know me and all the Pm's I get everyone just uses Dave, so I have dropped the R.

I chose my nickname years ago. I think it was the name of a caffeinated citrus drink. However, the Days of Thunder Nascar film featured the mello yello car driven by Tom Cruise, My son had the model of it so I got it from that. The other name is use on the Newcastle forum is Toonraider, which Ive used for years too. Before that it was Looneytoon. But I've only ever had mello yello for Torquay.

I've been born and raised in a place called Ospel in the Netherlands.
Combine this with my favourite English team, the Gulls and you get my nickname: ospelgull
