Maybe you should make a statement as to why you have started up this forum in oposistion to dot net & get the word spread

Where would be best? I can't do it on .net, but I just hope this site will be like the old .net, I'm fed up with posts being deleted for no reason etc.

Hiya Dave. I think we share the same feelings regarding the dotnut board as there are too many interfering moderators on there who have the "power-button" at their disposal. The old days with Mervo Scoble at the helm never needed that. I hope you can make a success of this new site and keep the "kids" away, perhaps bringing back those who no longer bother with that other site.

That is my wish Andy, I just got fed up with the power crazy lot on ,net. I hope this site will be like the old.net we loved, this site is for all of us, all members will have a fair say, on how the site runs. Once again thanks for joining, lets hope for lots more members

Thanks for creating another Torquay forum for us to use.
I have a feeling the atmosphere will be alittle more relaxed and informal on here, which I like.
I still use .net, there are some very good posters on there. Personally I don't wish to criticise it, Louis has always been very helpful to me. I'm hoping both forums can exist harmoniously, each offering something different. Fans now have more choice which is all good.
All you need now Dave is a few more members...I have made a suggestion about this is the members thread ;D

It is not my wish to compete with any other forum, or steal its members. We hope members will like to use both sites, if that is their wish, I'm just trying to recreate the old .net , for those who liked it that way.

You're right, you don't need to compete with other forums. Just continue with your own beliefs of how you'd like the forum to be and people will join and enjoy it. |
