If anyone thinks that the recent defeats by West Brom and Man City of Arsenal and Chelsea or Man Utd's indifferent start have made the Premiership interesting should have a look at the German Bundesliga where there's mad results and inconsistencies a plenty in the first 6 games of the season.
Topping the table with 6 wins from 6 are FSV Mainz 05 who beat Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena last weekend. A resurgent Borussia Dortmund managed by the charismatic Jurgen Klopp are second after a win at bitter rivals Schalke 04 and a 1-3 away win at St Pauli. VFB Stuttgart find themselves bottom despite winning there only game 7-0 against Moenchengladbach who themselves threw away a 2-0 lead away to second from bottom Schalke 04. Bayer Leverkusen are 5th despite losing 3-6 at home to Moenchengladbach.
Bayern Munich have lost to Mainz at home and newly promoted Kaiserslautern away, drawn with both.Werder Bremen and Cologne 0-0 at home (there's only been 3 nil-nils in the entire league all season) but they've managed to beat Hoffenheim away and Steve McClaren's Wolfsburg who have won 3 and lost 3. Hamburg have won 2, drawn 2 and lost 2. Werder Bremen are so far floundering in lower mid table. Hannover 96 are a surprising 3rd in the table.
I wouldn't be betting on German football at the moment.
