When a perfectly honestly thought out and clearly written post gets regarded on here as "showing a crap attitude", when a description on here as a "battle of wills" gets misrepresented as a "war"; when the a statement is made that I "deliberately use every thread to upset people who live here" and YOU DAVE (the forum proprietor) choose to selectively publicise part of a private conversation with a third party; then it is time to consider the worth of contributing to a medium that takes great umbrage to the true thoughts of someone being posted. Thoughts that have not contained abuse yet are construed as so doing. Neither insisted that only my viewpoint is right, yet presented my point of view and invited argument to the contrary. Asked that everybody read posts properly and attentively before firing off replies. Pointed out the very real differences between people on here and their characteristics in a polite and respectful manner and made a perfectly polite enquiry as to the "votes for best poster" disappearance yesterday; it's time to draw the conclusion that whilst you say you do not wish to censor debate you will endlessly complain and lecture in class against anything you regard as causing you discomfort, upsetting people who cannot bear to have their view of events challenged, and (heaven forbid) make "newcomers" fell unwelcome. Well yesterday I made a few posts containing my opinion of just how one such "newcomer" (Rags) was being rounded on, and some would say abused; for making perfectly coherent yet searching points about the reasoning behind some posters contributions. But you can't take that Dave, because you only seem to welcome the twee and the comfy, easy cardigan wearers these days. You call me a dinosaur? Fine, no problem with that. You talk of banning me (again) no problem with that either Dave only you probaly won't need to as I regard this forum as having descended to the level of boredom and tedium that keepes me from reading the red top press and watching much of "popular entertainment" on the telly. You've bored me to point of not bothering any more, and you can draw comfort from that if you wish and seek your entertainment from the bland and opinionless which will keep you happy in your own little world.

I don't know pop over to Italy for a few days all the while looking forward to reading the TFF after wins against Port Vale and Bournemouth, but have got no further than the last 50 posts as I can't understand what the posts are about. Where are the posts from supporters of the top of the table team looking forward to this weekend? But most of all, what the hell is going on? Need to pop into Plymouth now and sit at a pavement cafe with an espresso to work up enough energy to trawl through what I've missed over the last two weeks. Hope it's not all like the last 100. Any chance of somebody pointing me towards the good bits?

Blandness and Misrepresentation what a title for a thread and there has been no misrepresentation by me, everything I said is a fact as far as I’m concerned and the conversation was not a private one as I was a part of it and it took place in the Gulls nest and was overheard by many I’m sure. I used it as prime example to show that what you posted on here was done only to cause upset and offence, if that was not the case then you certainly were not very honest when you talked with Mark Boyce.
Only last week you were happy to sing the praises of the TFF when Mervo gave the forum his seal of approval, do I take it now you were not being honest then as well and it was just another opportunity you seized upon to try and make the other forum look the bad one.
So now the forum is just a very bland place and one you don’t want to play in anymore. You only want to play if you are allowed to carry on with your keyboard bullying that so many have been subjected to for far too long. Please don’t talk to me about intelligent debate and well thought out posts, you are unable to enter a proper debate without feeling the need to rubbish the views of those in the debate or trying to show they are not even worthy of holding any view points. Is that debate then?
Jon worked hard compiling figures for a thread in the history room, some like to read such stats others don’t but it was only you who had to go and post on that thread. You never stop letting us all know you don’t like the prediction league on here, moaned and moaned about images being put up on the forum and I put in special codes so your PC screen did not show the forum all stretched out due to the very low resolution you use.
I pinned a thread in the popside for you so you could let us all know when you had added an update for your blog, done so because you deleted your account because I removed one of three adverts for it posted on threads running on here simply because some felt you were as good as spanning threads with news of your latest update.
Running a forum requires the need to consider others views and trying to find suitable compromises that hopefully will keep most members happy. All in all I have bent over backwards on here for you and have given you my help when ever you have asked for it
Now it seems I have made another enemy to add to the few I have made running this forum for free and giving it all the time I can spare. Yes Mr. Yellow is one and how fair was I with him on here when I gave him the opportunity to prove I was wrong and against the wishes of the TFF members who felt I was being far too soft with him and did he prove I was wrong?
If the bullies are allowed to just domineer then everyone will just run away and find a place to play away from them. I have asked very little of you and only did so because I believe consideration should be shown to other members on here who want to post without the fear they will be set upon.

Without wishing to sound rude, is there any chance you could have this argument "offline"? It really is continuing to ruin the site, which is exactly what you are trying not to do Dave.

I`m interested in this Mark Boyce convesation Merse. Why did you say that to Mr. Boyce when we all know that that isn`t exactly the reason.
Dave. You have been doing a fantastic job on here, running the forum; if you hadn`t then people wouldnt be able to read some of the best posts from BartonDowns, Jon. I wouldnt have been able to be part of the sponsorship team for Scott Bevan. There are so many things that have been positive for the club, for me and other Torquay fans. I wouldnt have put up with some of the negatvie stuff if I were you Dave.

Thanks for relighting the touch paper Joe I do what is a very difficult job to the best of my ability, promoting goodwill and friendship and the sense of being a part of the family on here and belonging to a good community is what the TFF has always been about and always will be. After all we are only on here because we share the same love for TUFC.

I`m interested in this Mark Boyce convesation Merse. WHY?? It's got bugg*r all to do with you. I wouldnt have put up with some of the negatvie stuff if I were you Dave. Fortunately you're not Dave and I can't believe for one minute that even in your dreams you would be capable of running a forum, so probably best not to go down that route. Merse & Dave are big boys. Its not the first time, nor will it be the last that they have disagreed, however they are big enough (& ugly enough ) to work it out for themselves. Well best you guys do because the forum is all the better for having both of you on here.

For the record I'm not in any battle of wills with Merse, nor do I have any ill feelings toward him, he has got the wrong Dave if he thinks I'm the sort to enter into personal battles.
I have just read for the first time the last entry merse made on his blog, it was very sad to read indeed and my heart goes out to him and I hope things have improved greatly for him as far as his family are concerned.

That's a really moving piece Dave.......life's full of ups and downs for sure, it must seem like one thing after another for him at the moment.
We'll all miss the old bugger if he stops posting on here........
