I've just been reading how Oxford are about to go into administration and by the look of things and how they are playing it could well mean the are in the BSsouth next season. Bad as that is for their support, I sure Matt Green is happy he chose us over them in the summer. He may not be in the starting 11 yet but at least he's a bit of security around him at Plainmoor.

Firstly always sad to see any football team fall from grace as Oxford has done. You have to feel for the fans of the club, no matter who Is to blame at the club.
Can't believe I watched them In the Top flight then, playing at Wembley In a milk cup final against Q.P.R.
I'm sure will get his time here to prove his worth and will be a regular in the squad at some time or other. Sure he thinks he made the correct decision as some Of other players must do as well.

I haven't read anything about Oxford going into administration. Personally, I would be very surprised if they did, although Kassam is still benfitting from the match-day revenue and surely this is something that is holding them back?
With regards to Green, reading the Janner Indy today I could see that he was clearly champing at the bit and I think after his performance in the reserves in the week he probably feels that he has done enough to get in the team. He clearly has much to prove - and it will take a lot to dislodge Sills from his starting-role as the solo-striker, although the approach that we take will change as the season progresses (who knows, we might change it for the FGR match!)
It's too early for me to be able to see that he will either be a success or become one of the long list of strikers that have failed to deliver at TUFC over the years. However, the performance of Wroe yesterday showed what can happen with some hard work and a bit of patience from a player that looked lost on the pitch just a few weeks ago- he was excellent. Tyrone T also had a good game and his goal was excellently taken - nice to read that he has been staying behind after training to work on his finishing.
All the players (either new, old, or the one watching in the Director's Box yesterday!) have to realise that they must work hard on and off the pitch to get themselves involved in the squad - and even if they are not involved, the squad system dictates that they will be needed sooner or later and once they get an appearance, it's up to them to make sure that Bucks cannot contemplate dropping them. It's great to have a bit of competition!
Personally, I can't see that there are many positions in the team that I would like to see additional players come-in to fill (I though Mansell was excellent yesterday - do we really need another right-back?). I would still like to see a couple of players get some football elsewhere (and reduce the wagebill for a bit!) - especially Brough and Dsane.

I have not read anything about Oxford being on the brink either, officially or otherwise. However, when Kassam bailed out be did keep the ground and lease it back to the club and there has been a bit of friction as he's refusing to accept a reduced rent, as they are struggling on their current gates.

Oxford are in trouble. Even though they are still pulling 4000 for home gates I think 3000 of those are season ticket holders. I did read they could be in administration as early as Tuesday this week. Which will obviously then go hand in hand with points deduction. All very sad for a club like that.
