sad to report that adam stansfield passed away tonight,deepest sympathy to his family freinds and all at exeter city,RIP adam,sad news for all

I knew he was being treated for cancer but had no idea it was so far advanced as to put his surviving it into question.
That's terribly sad, and obviously condolences to all his family and friends.
Let's hope no bone head forgets, and decides to be derogatory in any way towards Exeter City during tomorrow's "support" for The Gulls..................it would be in the very worst of taste if they did.

Very sad. I was at the Exeter game tonight and heard one or two people saying he had worsened. Lots of chanting of his name during the second half but I didn't think anybody at the game was aware of his death. However Exeweb reports there had been rumours during the day.
One of the best products of the local non-league game in recent years and a player who may have easily landed at Plainmoor. He actually joined in the first day of training with Exeter just four weeks ago before starting a round of treatment.

Terribly sad - and so young too.
Football rivalry is put to one side at sad times like this.
