Aberavon, Port Talbot or something around there Yes but, before deciding which it's to be, you're best not just looking at number six. Others may be within just a stone's throw. Or a long goal kick. Or a wind-assisted drop goal. Club X may be in place Y; club Y may be in place X; club Z may be in place X. If you catch my drift. 4 & 6 in Wales 6 port talbot 6 aberavon?

4 & 6 in Wales 6 port talbot 6 aberavon? Are you trying to tell me (4) Port Talbot Town FC (6) Aberavon RFC? If so, that's correct. And the other Welsh one? You'd not need to look far.

My guesses so far:
Number 4 is Port Talbot. Number 7 is Taunton Town. Number 9 is Shortwood Football Club. Number 13 is Truro City.
Still researching but that's it for tonight. Bedtime!

We're getting along nicely. Correct answers so far: 1. Cullompton Rangers 4. Port Talbot Town 6. Aberavon RFC 7. Taunton Town 9. Shortwood United 11. Willand Rovers 13. Truro City 14. Bovey Tracey
Those hills at Port Talbot can also be seen in one that has yet to be identified.
Shortwood, like Forest Green, is in Nailsworth. You would have been able to see FGR's old lights before the club moved.
The pétanque facility is in the foreground at Bovey Tracey.
Keyberry finds number five familiar. It's relatively new with a moorland view. Alpine Joe may know of it.
Of the remainder I would expect somebody would have visited number twelve; many others would have passed number three.

The last picture quiz has remained dormant for a few weeks. There will another one along shortly. A recap of the ones still to be solved. With a few clues added: THREEA watery place not too far from a major road (or two). You'd have found Buckland Athletic here recently: FIVEA newish ground across a county boundary from Devon. High ground with a view of the moors. But not necessarily the moors of which you first think: EIGHTElevated status for this club these days. Currently home to Torquay United players past and present: TENA reincarnated club which includes "and" in its name. Beware aircraft coming in to land: TWELVEOf the remaining pictures to be solved this is the geographically closest to South Devon. A local boy became the apostle of Germany and the reformer of the Frankish church:

No 12. The apostle of Germany and the reformer of the Frankish church was St Boniface, who may have been born in Crediton. The ground therefore is Crediton United's.

It's not named after St Boniface. Maybe it should be. But there is a St Boniface Arena elsewhere in Devon. No pictures of that yet.

There was a picture quiz a few months ago. I never got around to supplying all the answers. On the off-chance somebody is interested they were: BRISTOL MANOR FARMA watery place just off the A4 Portway between Avonmouth and Bristol. Same league as Buckland Athletic; the ground - with every good reason - is known as The Creek: CAMELFORDA newish ground just outside of town; the land is high with views of Bodmin Moor. The team has made a relatively rapid rise to the Peninsula Premier; they'd be off the radar of old South Western League hands: FROME TOWNNow playing in the dizzy heights of the Southern Premier; I was there for an FA Cup game against Borehamwood: ASHTON AND BACKWELL UNITEDThe former Backwell club left the Western League, merged with Ashton and came back again. You might catch a glimpse of the ground coming in to land at Bristol:

You've just ruined tonight for me, Bartie! It was in my diary to try to finish the quiz this very evening. Now I'm going to sit beside the wife and be forced to watch inane US TV. Or maybe get in another tussle with Mervo.... Seriously, thank you for the answers. And taking the time to set the quiz in the first place.
