As mentioned on the Ground Review boards, both myself (accompanied by Sal) and Chris Hayes went to this friendly which pitched Ryman Premier League club Canvey Island against the youth/ U21 players of 2009/10 Dutch Eredivisie Champions FC Twente.
Played in front of a crowd of 347, the young FC Twente team treated the mixture of Canvey faithful and groundhoppers to a show of great skill, passing and pace, culminating in a 5-0 win for the team from Holland.
Goal scorers for "The Tukkers" were Nils Roselar - (21), Ninos Gouriye - (22), Ola John - (53), Ashley Dumas OG - (64) and finally Flamur Kastrati - (69 mins).
