thanks Chris but it rained nearly every day. the last 2 days were glorious and you'll see some some shots of the best days later in the week.
this little ground was brilliant and I would love to play here.
unfortunately, my 18-70mm lens developed a nasty noise half way thgrough the holiday and i had to revert to a standard digital camera

In the shadows of Ben Nevis lies Claggan Park, the home of Fort William FC of the Highlands League. I've walked on that pitch too without seeing a game. Fort William have been pretty hopeless since they joined the Highland League although they did have a far better season than normal in 2009/2010. See more about Fort William and the Highland League at nonleaguescotland.co.uk/region/highland/highlandclubs.htm

I was doing a tour in the car around Scotland last that was supposed to last all week. In the end I got pi$$ed off with dodging the rain which seemed to be following me around and getting bitten by midges. Sorry to hear about the lens. Is it still under warranty?

Is it still under warranty? the evenings were far better than early but as we had to drive everywhere we were ok. The midges didn't bother me but found other family members far tastier. I am checking the warranty. as a replacement could be costly.

I've missed this ground a couple of years ago when me and the missus camped for a couple of days in Fort William. We had two weeks of brilliant weather, from start to finish all sunshine! And we walked all the way to the top of the Ben Nevis, piece of cake...

That's got to be from one extreme to another, flat to mountainous

Not too bad at the French Cycling Tour either which involves a lot in the mountains. Perhaps just a very sporty nation, if maybe a tad too competitive if recent events are anything to go by!
