It seems that Ledley King is going to be out till at least the quarter-final stage (IF we get there) and there are talks of either Dawson being called up or Jamie Carragher being shifted into that slot.
I would say leave Carragher where he is and bring in Dawson to play alongside Terry. Heskey had a good match and was by far the best player agaisnt the USA (Even though he missed that one on one).
David James in goal would fill me wih confidence though having Joe Hart would do the same.
This game will be an England win, though I`m going to cut out making an atcuall socre prediction as we`ll either win big or play rubbish for the whole match and score some bad goal.

I was going to encourage my daughter to support England as it is her place of birth and if and when Australia gets knocked out of the cup then I myself was going to support England, well guess what, NO F***ING chance now! Not now the English are starting to show their true hatred towards us, you can shove it!

skysports had exclusive filming of england training yesterday, aparently green was having mishaps all the way through the training session, dropping the ball and letting shots slip through his hands,if this is the case he must not play tonight,we cannot afford any more blips,it seems his confidence maybe shot to bits.If capello does play him despite all this and he makes a howler, capello will not be very popular, the goalkeeping position does bother me a lot

Then he and Heskey joined in training with the other players!

An irritating and irritable display, Dom Fabio must feel like a piano tuner who can't quite get it right. Back in January, February and March the tune was sweet, Rooney was roaring and scoring for fun, now he's past his peak form and the team collectively looks like a Derby runner who peaked too early to win the The Dante but flops at Epsom. We've been there so many times with England we're used to it, but to me they look like a bunch of players who know that the ultimate prize is beyond their capabilities and so can't handle the opening games. We need a real captain's role from Gerrard, a commanding influence from Terry and for Rooney to relax and stop trying to power everything.................we've had none of that and you can't blame the manager can you, it's the players who have to step up to the plate and so far they have not shown they can do so. The price of having a World Class Premiership with only one World Class Englishman in it.

couldnt agree more merse,a world class premiership with one world class englishman and many world class earners,a sorry state, but we were warned that influx of foreigners would stunt our own home grown talent, well this is proof. If some ofthe financial greed isnt put into grass roots we are sunk simple as that. But one thing money cant buy and that is desire,i aint seeing it

Rooney should now apologise or get out, they didnt play like they gave a -hite I think you want to put yourself in the shoes of a very frustrated young man and not make unrealistic demands over something that was no more than an invasion of privacy and a disgraceful piece of journalistic judgement to broadcast it and not leave it on the cutting room floor. Even the Queen kicks the cat sometimes mate. These players hear and have to put up with loads of crap and anyone caught at a raw moment can be embarrassed. As I said regarding my own son the other day, the greater the disappointment the greater the need to leave him alone until an opportune moment, not get in his face when he is frustrated and angry. I thought as a father of eight, you would appreciate that more readily.

Why do so many commentators make excuses for the baby Gerrard? He seems to sulk at Liverpool and England if he can't play where he wants or how he wants. this is about the TEAM not spoiled little barsteward who wants to be the centre of attention all the time
Surely being captain helps his inflated ego. Get a grip you but of prima donnas. the only ones to do well so far are the also rans who are at least trying to impress

Well...look on the bright side at least there's no Carragher to hand Slovenia an 89th minute pen in the last game Seriously.......after all the hype that was very frustrating to watch. You can only feel for the players and the management.......just one of them days when the harder you try, the worse it gets. We lack the quality in so many positions to be a real challenger this time anyway. So cue the media indignation.........cue the squad going into siege mentality mode. Cue a better performance...and qualification v Slovenia. Cue a gallant and unlucky exit in Round 2 or the QF stage. .....same old.
