I'm a bit conflicted. Born in Nigeria so i would like them to be the 1st african nation to lift the world cup but can't see it happening in the real world. England have dissappointed me so often after filling me with hope and anticipation only to be let down by a bunch of overpaid show ponies. I hope we do it and think Capello is definitely the manager for the job, but are the players good enough? For me it's got to be Spain. I had them in the sweepstake for the Euros so was delighted when they won it. They have the players who now understand what it takes to win a big tournament. Anything can happen as the Aussies found out against the cheating wops last time around. But barring controversy i think Spain are the team to get your money on. But, before you all go rushing out to put your 10p on the nose just remember i know feckall about football!

If England don't win, my preference would be for a country that has never won it to lift the trophy.
Having said that, Spain and Holland are great teams expected to do well so it would be just as boring to see them triumph as it would Germany, Brazil or Italy.

It will be an exceptional defensive team with a high abundance of flare and players who can score from any position. We simply don't possess enough flare or technical ability when you compare us with Spain, Italy Brazil or Argentina. I expect these nations to dominate once again.

hopefully us,but if it isnt us i dont want a jammy awful team to make the final as germany and argentina did in years gone past despite being no more than average, thankfully neither won it on those occasions,a sneaky feeling for italy, they always seem to peak just as the world cup comes along
