Not a very impressive performance for me and we will need to play far better if we are to make any progress in the world cup. Yet again we never really looked that interested in the first half and we gave the ball away far too many times.
This was a game against a team we should have beat with ease and yet failed to score in and only won due to two own goals. I know this was the last opportunity to look at a few fringe players and even try something new, but I do feel the team needed a good performance more than anything to take into the first game against the USA

Not a very impressive performance for me.................. When has such a game, which is no more than a component part of a training camp; ever produced a "performance" of any note, or indeed held any significance at all? I no more think places were up for grabs today than the manager doesn't already know just who is going and who is not ~ fitness issues aside. Strikers not playing at full throttle and defenders not willing to overstretch just make for a pre-season friendly environment and the real value is just familiarisation with the matchday routines coming up of preparation in the training base, the travel to the stadium and the warm down/recovery and refuelling period afterwards. Nothing more, nothing less.......................now what was the score of this game? It matters not, and once the World Cup Finals have been done and dusted it won't even have been remembered by all but the anoracks.

Start the two Joe's, Hart and Cole.Give them a chance and I think that will improve the team's performance.
