like merse says it wont last, massey did try to get control at plainmoor but failed, and as he says woodward did a terrific job keeping grays afloat, but he got as far as he could financially with them, and when the gravy train stopped he had death threats and all sorts chucked at him, quite rightly he walked away, and where are grays now?serves the grays fans right, they treated him abysmally.I have no particular axe to grind with crawley as a club, but sincerely hope evans/raynor make a pigs ear of it

I see that our friend Mr Evans (love him or hate him) has been busy in the trasnfer market (so far):
Scott Davies - Midfield (from Reading)
Wesley Thomas - Striker - 19 goals for Cheltenham last season
John Akinde - Striker
Jamie Day - Full Back - ex Rushden/Peterborough
...more to come I believe....
Worth 1/2 crown to be League 2 Champions next season.

Echoes of Rushden, although they took a couple of years to get out of this division - Crawley are flashing a bit more cash than they ever did. Wonder if they'll come back down as quickly...
I'd also keep an eye on Fleetwood as they're doing the same as what Crawley have just done in the Conference - got Brodie on loan from Crawley and have also now signed Mangan from Wrexham, building on the investment last year that got them into the play-offs. They'd have to be at least dark horses for the title
