Do they have a Torquay over there? If not then as It says Torquay spring water, you would think It must come from here In the bay. Not sure I would drink any water called spring water, from here, not with all our sewage problems ;D

I was in Torquay (Australia) for a couple of hours on a day trip from Melbourne a couple of years ago when I went 'Down Under' for the Ashes. It's a lovely little town, dominated by the amazing beaches, of which I shall post a couple of pictures at some point, and an amazing array of surf shops to satisfy most of the visitors. And yes they have a Torquay Golf Club, and more importantly a Torquay F.C., although the 'football' they play there is wildly different to the one we are used to! Their nickname is the Tigers, they play in yellow and black at a ground called Spring Creek Reserve, and I briefly saw the stadium while we were on our way back to Melbourne..sadly no picture of it, but you can get maps and the likes here... www.torquaytigers.com.au/V1/index.php

Thanks for the photo bitemebryn, but knowing how our own JimD reacted and got excited with the forum group hug photo, I think he would have preferred it If you were in shorts or something.

Seems a few of us have made the trip from Melbourne, out to Geelong and along the coast road. For me it was during the 1994/95 Ashes series. For the record there is another Torquay in Hervey Bay, Queensland. You can see the home of Torquay Football Club on the postcard (it's the oval shape): An attempted "art shot". Older readers may remember our very own Torquay Times which was a weekly paid-for newspaper, and a rival to the Herald Express, in the days before "free sheets":
