The castle is at Goodrich in Herefordshire which - like Stuart's mystery town - you could always visit en route to Edgar Street.

I know where - lovely place - but won't spoil the guessing game so soon. Did you get to the nearby castle? Nearby rather than in the town. 1960s-footballer-who-wore-glasses-on-the-pitch-on-Wye?

1960s-footballer-who-wore-glasses-on-the-pitch-on-Wye? Mind you, David Hay wore his glasses off the pitch, but he came along a little after the sixties!

Mind you, David Hay wore his glasses off the pitch, but he came along a little after the sixties! And Alan Hay needed glasses...to find the treatment room

Went for drive today followed by a picnic. I've been meaning to take a picture of this location many times. It is a pretty town, even in full flood but where is it? That's a nice photo Stuart. It reminds me of a french town called Uzerche right in the middle of France in a region called Correze. It's not very far away from the town of Tulle and the rugby town of Brive.

I was at this Devon church recently. You can only reach it by walking across fields. Where?

Would it be Columbjohn on the river Culm? Not sure from the picture if it is the one I am thinking of but if not it is very similar.

No, it's not Columjohn but it's only a couple of miles away and also next to a river. No electricity, gas or water - and only half-a-dozen services a year. Helpfully they lay on a 4x4 to ferry people across the fields in bad weather.

At a guess... Near a mine? Somewhere in Devon?
