Guess where? Well not yet and I might need a clue or two as I would certianly like to go and see this belvedere. I can only say at this time its not the Haldon belvedere or the one at Powerham Castle. Both of those have windows in their towers and one row of windows in the middle. This one has two sets in the middle and none of their towers. So is it in Devon? Haldon belvederePowderham Castle belvedere

Before you put this clue up Nick, looking at the picture again, I really thought it was on the South coast. I know its not in Devon and I don't think its in Somerset, so I thought it must be in Dorset somewhere. But as we do not play any teams from that country I'm going to have to say it must be near Cheltenham.

Got it! Broadway Tower in the Cotswolds. Thought it might be and have just checked a photo from my only visit a few years ago when we had our packed lunch in the shelter of the tower as it lashed it down.

Got it! Broadway Tower in the Cotswolds. Thought it might be and have just checked a photo from my only visit a few years ago when we had our packed lunch in the shelter of the tower as it lashed it down. Well done and thanks for putting me out of my misery as I was never going to get it. I see it is described as being a unique Capability Brown Folly Tower, what ever that is? Anyway some history about Broadway Tower and a few other picture's. History Broadway Tower was the brainchild of the great 18th Century landscape designer, Capability Brown. His vision was carried out for George William 6th Earl of Coventry with the help of renowned architect James Wyatt and completed in 1798. The location for the Tower was wisely chosen, a dramatic outlook on a pre-medieval trading route and beacon hill. Wyatt designed his "Saxon Tower" as an eccentric amalgamation of architectural components ranging from turrets, battlements and gargoyles to balconies. Throughout the centuries, Broadway Tower has always inspired and with this inspiration came a large number of uses, such as home to the printing press of Sir Thomas Phillips, perhaps the greatest collector of manuscripts and books in history. Members of the Arts and Crafts movement used Broadway Tower as a holiday retreat. Pre-Raphaelite artists William Morris, Dante Gabriel Rossetti and Edward Burne-Jones were frequent visitors. Indeed, it was Broadway and the Tower that sparked Morris' campaign for the preservation of historic monuments. The Royal Observer Corps used the unique vantage point to track enemy planes over England during the world wars of the 20th Century and later constructed a nuclear bunker to report nuclear attacks during the "Cold War". The uses of Broadway Tower over the years were so varied and numerous that graphic displays on three floors have been dedicated to the colourful past of the

The second one's near Darwen isn't it? Yep, Darwen Tower, built for Queen Vic's Diamond Jubilee. No excuse for not visiting should we ever play at Ewood.

The ROC Post (Nuclear bunker) is still in existance nearby although is now almost completely stripped internally since the disbanding & stand down of the corp in 1991

Sorry we have not come up with too many answers so far Nick, I don't have a clue myself about some of them and don't want to cheat by using google.
