While I last Sunday was on my walk from hell, Phil( chelstongull) enjoyed a delightful picnic at Stover Country Park, I do know today he and his good lady will be doing the Dartmouth walk that is up on this board.
Enjoy your walk today Phil its a great day to be walking along our beautiful coastline. The last time I went to the park was in 2005 as I had just bought my Fuji S5000 camera, I now use a Fuji S9500 and I wanted to get some wildlife shots.
Apart from some ducks Carol and I saw no other forms of life apart from some fellow human beings, still he had a good day at the park and went on a nice long walk.
You can walk out on a pathway that heads toward Newton and you end up walking across a field and back along the river toward the village Teigngrace.
You then can walk through a wood that takes you back to the main lake at Stover.For those who do not know where it is, just head for Trago and the entrance is near the roundabout you turn on to get to Trago.
You do have to pay to park there, but I don't think its that expensive and there are picnic tables set up so why not get that picnic basket packed and head out for a nice day at Stover Country Park.
All the pictures from my first marriage were sadly destroyed by my ex wife, but a few were missed and the first picture while not good quality was taken at the park in 1984.
