terribly tragic! It reminds me when I was station at RAF West Drayton and i was driving along the M4 to hear about Michael Ryan in Hungerford. I shudder every time I pass that junction.
Several years later we went on holiday to Scotland and passed very close to Dunblane, another awful tragedy.
Thank goodness they don't happen as often as the USA.

i was 2 miles from hungerford on the day of that massacre, fishing without a care in the world, until i found out what happened,i dont think any rule changes will stop those people that snap going on killing sprees. They will find the weapons if required, and sadly we all know there will be the next one,but wish i as wrong. They always seem to top thereselves at the end as well, denying family and loved ones justice and reasons for there crime.Lets also not forget the human rights brigade as well, banging the drum for his rights,no cosey life in prison for this little darling

Strange to have learned of this tragedy from this forum, but I have been suffering a lot of pain through my health problems in the past 24 hours and had gone to bed for a three hour rest early this evenng; so have had to catch up on the internet news. I don't think anyone should pass comment on this until a realistic picture emerges as to what on earth happened in that guy's mind to have caused all that carnage. Mental illness or breakdown cannot always be attributed to criminal behaviour nor vice versa...................we'll just have to wait and see. A very sad day.

what i meant was aussie if he had survived, the human rights brigade would of been banging on about his human rights, the victims had no chance,he appeared to have snapped and killed at random

As someone who has a very close relative who lived until very recently in this area, I was shocked by yesterday's events.
I for one am not going to follow the example of another poster by using this tragedy as an excuse to make a cheap political point.
