Who's the Sky co-commentator? He must be on the County pay roll. It beggars belief how some of these media types have jobs (see also G. Crooks and m. Lawrenson).
He just tried to justify the awful decision for the free-kick by saying the home side deserve to be "four or five in front".
Utter cretin.

A cretin of the highest order, although his comment about how they should be four or five in front was true!

Absolutely not denying that CG, but to suggest they be given dodgy free-kicks because they've been the better side is simply outstanding.
Brilliantly stole-in by Ellis. Didn't someone mention his poaching ability earlier in the thread? That could just be the goal that fires us up for the second half.

We have to be honest and say we were completely out played in the first half and while we could have gone in at half time at two all, if Benyon had done a bit better with the Sills flick on to him, we could as easily gone in five down.
Poor defending cost us the first goal and while not a free kick for the second in my view, why did the wall not even jump? It could be far worse than it is and who knows, maybe a lucky goal at the start of the second half could see us get something from this game.
Not to sure of our line up mind you, I hope Bucks makes a few changes in the second half.

Not unless we change our approach and actually close them down and make the occasional tackle

Well that second half was more like it. Great response by the lads and we could easily have snatched all three points. Ellis was absolutely superb.
Terrific moment when the commentator said something along the lines of "Torquay fans will be questioning whether they've actually deserved it" and Minto muttered "They haven't" before the commentator finished his sentence: "And it has to be said that they have."
EDIT: Ian McParland doing what he does best - coming across as a completely loathsome character. Absolutely no credit for the Gulls whatsoever.
Firstly said the free-kick for our first goal should never have been. Remind us of your second one Ian.
Secondly said we were never going to score from open play. Remind us of both your goals Ian...

A great second half full of real character and fight and on that display it should shut up a few who think the players are not good enough to play in this league.
We stopped County's passing game and reduced them to just hitting it long and we did that by pushing up on them and not letting them play the way that did in the first half.
Ellis was just great, wining headers, getting in tackles and its just a shame he put wide what looked an easy header. Benyon for me looked poor today and gave us nothing up front, if we had a better quality forward playing will Sills today, then we really could have won today.
We got the credit we fully deserved and we can take this into our next game and I firmly believe its only a matter of time, before we are in the mid table where we want to be.
Well done to the team, you battled and never gave up and you could have after going two goals behind, I can't wait for our next match that I feel we will win.

I thought both County free kicks were ' questionable'.

Thought we were absolutely fantastic 2nd half. Showed a lot of bottle to come out of the game with something after the first half hour. What a plonker the notts county manager looked it in the post match interview.
We need to take the confidence we have gained into next saturdays game. If we keep up performances like that we wont have to worry about being in the bottom two.

I think we should not forget the big part Nico played in todays game, he has come under some criticism in recent matches, but his balls into the County box, by his left foot or throw-ins were a big weapon for us today.
Not to sure I liked how Country's manager described us as a football team, we did in the second half play the ball around much better when we could.
Poke also pulled off some fine saves today, but we should also not forget that nearly all the players who earned us this great draw, were the players who got us promoted last season.

Just back (from the pub - not Nottingham) and I thought that on the final 50 so minutes of the game we really put them on the back foot and thoroughly deserved the draw. Rodgers, and the vile sub-human lee hughes didn't really get a sniff for much of the game and we became more cohesive as the game went-on. When you saw hughes give his usual display when things don't go his way of feigning injury and standing with his hands on his hips then it gives great encouragement. When we see the home team resort to lumping the ball forwards it is an indication that they have abandoned their gameplan and are trying to "play the percentages". That game us huge cause for optimism and that is thanks to the way we made it so hard for them to get the width. Westcarr was virtually anonymous after he scored and that is credit to the way we defended.
It doesn't move us out of the relegation zone andit doesn't end our winless run, but I feel so much better after that than I did after the Grimsby match. The Aldershot and Bury games showed that we have picked-up the performances. Watching on the box doesn't give me the full feel off how we kept our shape, pushed up and worked when we didn't have the ball, but I think that we did well - am looking forward to Gypsygull (he probably won't be too long!!!) et al getting back to give their views from the match. MOTM match could have been anyone of Ellis (although he could have scored a hat-trick tonight), Charnock, Robertson, Nicholson (excellent delivery - didn't look uncomfortable given the amount of ground that he was forced to cover either) or Hargreaves, but I think that the way Sills caused them so many problems when the ball was in the air or dragging their defenders all over the place.
You've got to feel sorry (well, maybe not!!!) for their manager, he'll find it very difficult to get another job as a manager when he loses his job - probably within the next month. Didn't hear what he said DGEP, but if he really did say that then Sven's going to use his bizarre and inappropriate contacts for league 2 book to get someone else in at the helm pronto. I expect someone like Dunga, Faustino Asprilla, Martin Dahlin, Hugo Sanchez or maybe even Nancy Del Oliveoil or whatever she's called! Bucks, on the other hand could give the same post-match speech of "we dominated them, we could have scored more, we might have won, we were unlucky but I'm proud etc" and for the 3rd league game in a row I would totally agree with him. We obviously pressed-up on them from the second we kicked-off the second 45 minutes, he obviously told them and they clearly responded. A "dead duck manager"? No way. I genuinely have more hope that we have turned the corner and are on our way to get the points that our recent performances have deserved. Bring-on Morcambe!
**EDIT** Further thoughts - who marked Ben Davies in the second half? It slipped me by, but I thought that he was well marsalled (even though he waltzed into the box right at the end!) and it made a huge difference to the approach that County took.
