To prove Merse's point about readers comments on HE website. I copied this comment from under the Todd story and was going to drop it on the post that was discussing who the HE allow to post without using their real names. I couldn't find that original post and whilst i was looking for it, the comment was removed from the HE website, one assumes by the HE staff. Could this now lead to some form of monitoring by HE? "Hello my little hordes of worshippers! Just thought i'd drop you a line to say hi, i know you mere mortals are missing your old leader, so you should you moronic fools. Life is suiting me and the little Susie Babes good, the kids are doing well, Debbsie as finally passed her eleven plus at the forty eight attempt and young Richie is hanging of her apron strings, whilst spending my money. I love the kids i do. The parrots are fine, they are making me a fortune, which means i am still much richer than you Torquay supporters. Speaking of which i see they ain't much good these days, i mean come on, Paul Buckle! You should have kept little Richard, he would have made a great Manager, especially with me telling him how to think. Anyway minions it's time for me to go, i'll be back in touch soon. I know how much you all love and miss me. Mike Bateson, A Fat Mansion commented on 03-Sep-2008 18:55" PS. Note to Dave, as i have copied it direct from their website, if it infringes any copyright can you just remove it.

That was funny, maybe they have listened to Merse or read his views somewhere. Did you ever read the Mike Bateson song, it was set to the tune of Ernie the fastest milkman, I will put it up if not.

You could hear the hoof beats pound as they raced across the ground The horsee Gulls were comin It was an ominous sound They galloped straight up Market Street Their Chairman to impress His name was mikeB And he drove the hardest bargain in the west
Now MikeB he was married To a lady known as Sue She was always right beside him Together they made two! She said that Mike should sell up But he said that's absurd And went off in a right huff To deal with his bird(s) They called him Mike B And he drove the hardest bargain in the west
She said she'd like to take a break Mike said OK my dear So he took her to the 200 club Then filled her up with beer He said would you like wine now Coz wine is the best She said Mike get yer shirt off Lets see you in your vest! And that frightened old Mike B And he drove the hardest bargain in the west
Now Mike B had a rival A red faced little tosh Called Barry Fry from Peterboro Did he think he was posh! He tempted Mike with Leon and asked a crazy fee But when Mike paid the price for that striker nice He rubbed his hands with glee Then Bayo with his agents Said now if you treat me right Give me more pay & give me bling I'll stay here man alright! But Bayo thought that he was good Wanted League One all the way And all Mike had to offer Was the Racecourse every day
MikeB was just past fifty-two He ruled the scene for years A regular with supporters sometimes he buys them beers He treats us with respect man And runs a real tight ship That's why the gulls survive you see Despite a wayward blip But a supporters needs are many fold And ours demand more flair Next season do the biz lads You owe it to the chair Was that the turnstiles turning Around our Plainmoor shrine Or MikeB's golden roller out a'cruising one more time We won't forget MikeB And he drove the hardest bargain in the west

Agreed, if people don't want their names appearing, then simply post under "Anon". However, someone whom I know posts on there using their real name & they get lambasted for using a false name. And yes, Merse was one of those who accused the poster of using a false name. Someone else said it was false because the person didn't appear in the phone book, well correct me if I'm wrong, but entry into the phone book is voluntary.

It's like the boy who cried wolf though isn't it.......................so many village idiots using so many silly names because they haven't got the guts of a gnat between the lot of them! Let's be honest, why would someone want to post under a pseudonym or "anon"? Because they haven't got the guts to stand by their opinions and have them attributed to them..........................in MY opinion!

I can see where you are coming from re people not having the guts to use their real names, but everybody has the right to anonymity if they so wish - especially if their views upset people they're friends with. People can fall out over such stupid things at times, maybe remaining anonymous is the best option at times?
