I saw this yesterday which made me laugh. London Wasps were cleared of any wrong doing by refusing to play on Edgely Park's pitch against Sale Sharks recently. It's funny to think how the beeb are using our 1st postponed game in order to lend weight to Wasp's actions. news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_union/english/8374983.stmIt's gonna be interesting to see if it's fit for the arrival of Charlton on Saturday or will it even be able to host the arrival of Leeds United on the 28th Dec. For the record Sale Sharks are due to play Harlequins on the 20th December.

According to an interview Gary Ablett on Stockport's Player site, Sale are looking to re-lay the troublesome section of the pitch, I believe in front of their main stand, but the only window to do it (it apparently needs eight days to be perfect again) came after Saturday's Stockport-Charlton game...hence their disappointment that we may now have to play a game there on Tuesday, putting the kibosh on their plan!

It's madness isn't it. If Wasps had come away bemoaning possible injuries due to both Scrummaging and loose footing during line outs they might not have faced so much apathy.
