Only the usual idiots were writing Darlo off as regards them "being a pushover" ~ same sort of dafties who called the BSP a "Pub League" and constantly berate the manager. Our win tonight has sent them down but we knew they would scrap as hard as they could to hang on in there. That ref is Darren Sheldrake who only comes from about a half hour drive from Aldershot and is the guy who did us up at Crawley that time................a right "homer" if ever I saw one. End of season football is never any different though is it, what with the top teams almost grinding to a halt as the finishing line comes into view and the bottom clubs fighting like dervishes to stay up. Highlight of the night for me.........................Anthony managing 107 Keepy Uppies ~ with a balloon, now I've told him to go and do it with a football!

Almost there and what a fantastic series of results, the best of the season without doubt. Grimsby hanging on in there and it will be a stern test on Sat but the pressure will be off now us just a little bit and the game doesnt quite carry the same status as it did just a couple of hours ago.
Feel quite sad for Darlo - win at the Champions elect and then have relegation to the BSP confirmed.

A point on Saturday sees us safe..................we know the side will have to play the usual way which is for a win, but we're nearly there!

Fantastic. That was one hell of a result at a team with a great home record. To kill the game in the way the players did is extremely creditable - well done to the team and coaching staff. They never let Aldershot "throw the kitchen sink" and I believe that reflects on the effectiveness the performance of our team rather than any shortcomings of the Aldershot team (although I look forward to the match reports!),
Only one point on Saturday or a win against any other team and it's all sorted for the season - although I believe that the team will want to push-on and finish as respectably as possible. I think the players will be up to the test on Saturday - they've set their own standards and have come-out of a testing transition period much the stronger, cohesive, confident and all the better for it with some cracking results and performances - to get 10 points against Shrewsbury, Northampton, Rochdale and Aldershot was unthinkable for most of us a couple of months ago.

May 1st Grimsby v Barnet looks like a crucial day now for both clubs. Though I think Grimsby now need a miracle to survive. Barnet look the most likely target now for Grimsby whilst Lincoln have Bury , Shrewsbury and Aldershot to contend with - not an easy run in.

What a result. After watching them lose to Morecambe, I was very concearned given our run in, but who could have predicted our last 4 matches. We now need to keep it up and hope that the bury and notts matches are being played with no pressure. Gutted not to be there at grimsby due to me having to work, but will be there at Bury. But lets get realistic tonight was a remarkable acheivement, and with darlo and grimsby(barring a miracle) looking doomed it will save us a fortune in fuel next season...........

Fantastic win.........one giant leap towards safety made tonight, so relieved that the Grimsby game is now not quite so massive as it looked like it could have been a few weeks ago. ......stuck out here in Tenerife (skillfully combining a weeks family holiday, with a poker tourney ) all i`ve been able to think about all day is tonights games........thankfully i was kept updated by text from 6 different people. Now i can relax and enjoy myself. Great to see us win again in style too........

Another great performance by the team and a victory fully deserved and you have to give all the credit you can muster to the players and Paul Buckle.
A month ago we could have been forgiven if we felt we would struggle to get a point from our last four games against clubs riding high up the table and we have only gone and taken ten points out of twelve.
It sounded on the radio that every player gave everything they had and Benyon once again has shut up those who felt he would never make it in this league and you have to be so happy for him.
Lets hope we can do what is needed now against Grimsby on Saturday so we can all then relax a bit for the remaining last three games, if the team play as they have in the last few games, then there is no reason not to believe that by 5pm on Saturday we will be safe.

what an excellent result. would have happily settled for 1 pt from this one.
Looking at Grimsbys fixtures I can see them winning 3. 2 weeks ago i would have said 4 but I think we can get something on Sat.
That i feel leaves the target at 48. I`m confident we`ll get at least another 3pts but can barnet gather 4pts? they`ve got a much harder run in than Grimsby. Felt for a long time Grimsby would survive and despite tonights draw I still feel they`ll escape. So is it Barnet for the drop?

Fantastic result and what a brillliant run these last few weeks ;D I now look forward to my trip to Grimsby and wont have to take the heart tablets!! I am delighted for all the players, staff and fans who were there tonight--well done all. I am even more pleased for those who saw the real picture of this season and kept the faith as REAL supporters do. One final thought....I wonder how the Buckle out parade is going on in the far east? ?? ;D ;D ;D

Another cracking result at the REC ( dId you forget our 3-0 win in the BSP Dave ? We are know the only CLUB in the second half of the table to have a plus goal average ! What a turn around well done all concerned. Also a word for the board (we know they read this site ) After all the shite directed at them (mainly from another site ) with regards to CEO`s & the team MGR well done and thank you for not having itchy fingers, calculated risk or faith (maybe blind ?) they have stood by their men and got OUR rewards . This season is 97% put to bed now and we can all look forward to the future with what ever it may hold Stronger , wiser & more importantly still together. Cod, Chips & 3 points ( No i`m not greedy I have been bought up to share 1 point on Saturday please , See you there ( We won`t be Blue Square ) Stewart

Just arrived home, we were immense, dominated all over the park, should and could easily have been 4-0 at half time. Difficult to pick out our 'man of the match' as they are all contenders. The Aldershot substitutions on the 60th minute put pressure on our defensive line, we are always going to concede corners & free kicks but the Pickler / Ellis / Robertson & Nico held firm & Pokey did his bit. Probably an almost perfect away display, Well done Bucks & the team. and of course the 'Yellow Army' giving their all Crowd 3000+ with 438 gulls supporters

Good call Stew. Don't panic and leave the football decisions to the professionals. I've always thought that was the way to go even if you have certain people screaming at you to "do something". I am more than happy that we do NOT have a "fingers in" Chairman. Not safe yet, but what a cracking performance again. Let's do the business on Saturday so that we can all enjoy the last two home games. COME ON YOU YELLOWS!
