The players, the manager and the fans will need to come back down to earth after the unbelievable result against Rochdale at home on Saturday as with Grimsby suddenly starting to win their matches, we need to do all we can to win ours.
I was offered a free ticket for this game by a shots fans who lives and works in Yeovil and I was really tempted to take it and meet the man half way there and go the est of the way with him, it would have been in with the shots fans, not a problem, but starting work the early times I do, I just felt it would too long a day for me.
Its a very long time since I have ever been to the shots ground, it was when they were in the league the last time before they lost their league status and in the end nearly their club.
I don't know if things have changed there, but I remember being in the away end and when the game was over we were let out the back of it and I seem to remember it was some sort of hilly wilderness we found ourselves in until we were able to find a path down to a road.
With all the teams around us winning on Saturday, we would have been happy to beat Rochdale with just one goal as its the points that really mattered, we were treated to a day we will always remember, but we would sure be happy to beat Aldershot by just one goal and won't care how that goal might come.
I would expect Poke will start the game as Bevan was clearly limping a bit after the game and even if Carlisle is fit to play this game, I would be surprised if Bucks started with him, he is more likely to be on the bench and come on later if needs demand.
So apart from Poke expect an unchanged side to face Aldershot and while we mush not get carried away with the Rochdale result, they way our team is showing the real fight and desire to stay in this league, we do have a very good chance of getting a result.
The most important thing will be keeping the gap between us and Grimsby and if we do that or even increase it, then its another game gone and one less for them to try and save themselves from the BSP.
If your going to the game have a safe trip there and back and would love to have as many match reports as possible.
Many thanks
Dave
