Yet another Saturday afternoon without a home game, or even an away game.
Its scandalous that we have yet to have a home game on a Saturday and nor do we until 20th September, the 10th game of the season. Almost a quarter of the season gone.
Saturdays are not for shopping, they are for football, so anybody got any suggestions for which game i could take in this Saturday ??
Looking locally the game that appeals to me most is the Buckland Athletic vs Plymouth Parkway at Homers Heath. Ive been there a couple of times and it seems a good set up. The pitch always looks in great nick much better than coach road did in the pre season friendly (worst pitch i have EVER seen, cant believe the youth team are using it for games).

tufc01, going to watch Buckland sounds a good choice to me mate, you will have a good day out, watching 22 players, who are only playing for the love of the game.
A few quid to get in and food at at fair and reasonable price and whats more you can even get a pint or two.
Enjoy the game and not be upset who wins or loses really, what better way could you find to enjoy an afternoon watching a football match. I hope you don't like it two much really, It could just become a habit, that you really do enjoy.

Yes, I'm afraid the much loathed Setanta has put paid to another Saturday fixture. In all fairness, Sunday is not too much of a disaster (at least it's still at the weekend). I'm on "Clapping" Chris's Stag day on the Saturday which was going to take in the game at Plainmoor. I wonder what we will do now, without a game to go to!!! I feel some (more) jugging coming on! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Decision time. Football or Shopping? ??. Got to be football every time, unless the weather dictates otherwise. However, just spoke to a very helpful guy at Homers Heath who says the Buckland Vs Plymouth game is very much on. Therefore its a no-brainer and takes shopping out of the equation. Will be interesting to see the difference in standard of football and amenities at the ground as i haven't been to a 'local' game, as a spectator for years. Dave, i will let you know about the food quality/value for money as well. So that settles it, Football wins every time. Probably why i can be seen at Plainmoor for every home game, there can be no other reason for it at the moment
