I’m sorry for doing this two days late and not on Friday evening as normal. There are times when we all need to give someone the time and attention they need as was the case as far as Carol was concerned.
I also needed some time away from the forum as I needed to make sure in my own mind that any actions I have taken this week were firstly for the right reasons and secondly for the good of the forum.
I have never subscribe to any argument that anyone has a right to be a member on any forum, on here anyone is allowed to join and when they do they join what is now an established community and in my view a very good one.
The purpose of any forum is to give people the opportunity to share their views and in a perfect world anyone new joining would have joined solely for that purpose. What can never be allowed to happen is allowing someone to remain part of the community who only causes great upset to all those who enjoy the forum while not bringing anything worthwhile to it.
Our club sure has a small group of knockers and its no real surprise to me they happen to be the same people who knock the TFF at every opportunity, its all a bit sad really and there really is no need for it, we are after all just a collection of Torquay United fans just like them, only its maybe because we know the real meaning of being a supporter and show it by our actions that is what gets up their noses.
I’m only human and have a big heart that’s very open and yes I do get a bit upset when I reads something’s written about me that I feel are unfair and lacking any real truth. I know its something that will happen from time to time as while as far as I’m concerned I’m a member on here like everyone else, it does come down to me to take actions to protect and maintain the quality of this forum as I set it up and just happen to care a great deal about it.
I never gave it a thought when I set up the TFF that somewhere down the road I would end up with a few people who some how see me as some sort of enemy, I have always made sure on here I never get into very personal spats with anyone and no one has ever been banned on here based on who they are or any views they hold, the only ones who ever have been banned have been because of their behaviour and conduct on the forum.
Sadly they will then go and peddle all sorts of lies as to why they have been banned from using the forum and it has been proved that even if you give such people the benefit of the doubt and let them rejoin us, they carry on in just the same way with the result you have to say goodbye to them once again.
Its hard for a person who works so hard to be a likable person to discover a few sure don’t like me, yet I have never done anything to ever cause them any harm in their life, only make a decision for the good of the TFF I suppose its just something I will have to get used to and the only thing I can say is I will always be happy to meet any such person and sit down and have a chat with them, hopefully then they may just get to know who I am and not who they think I am.
So who won this week?
Well in the post he made he said he did not post that often which is a shame, but you liked what he had to say in his post and voted for it, from my point of view the post went a long way to telling me I’m getting most things right on here, but as always my ears are pinned back to listen to your opinions if you feel I have got something wrong.

Hey guys,
As the dust begins settling on a predictably topsy turvy season, I wanted to offer my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has posted over the last 9 months or so.
I occasionally feel guilty regarding the infrequency of my posts but, more poignantly, I often feel guily about the amount of time I spend looking at the forum whilst working!
This season has, for reasons of genuine financial hardship, been my least 'hands on' year in my 27 years of supporting the Gulls. Geography, and the aforementioned lack of 'fiscal availability' has meant for the first time I have not made it to Plainmoor. I have got myself to Palace (too early to draw conclusions), Bournemouth (angry, yet encouraged) and Aldershot (ecstatic), but I have mainly had to rely on match reports initially from my ever loyal brother, Richard, and also my very best friend, Dave C, but subsequently from the superb and diverse opinion proffered on this board.
Whoever coined the phrase 'absence makes the heart grow fonder' knew what they were talking about. Torquay United Football Club are an enormous part of my life and it's worth giving a thought to clubs such as Darlington and Grimsby (idiots aside), but more pertinently, Chester City. I can empathise greatly with Darlo and the fishy ones, we have been there, but just imagine how Chester City fans must feel right now. 'There but for the grace of God.......’
I've strayed a little off topic, but sincere thanks to everyone on here who make this forum part of my daily life and ensure that I never feel the need to wander back to another board that I was one of the very first posters on, but will never return to.
You may be opinionated, obnoxious, ill informed, ill advised, funny, dull, self righteous, self absorbed or any manner of things, but I thank every single one of you for making my exile less desperate and keeping me in touch with the one love of my life I know I will take to my grave.
Much love
Jeremy
