Result: 1-2 (Coffill,Murphy).
Attendance: 1613(Including me).
The only time I have been to Darlington.
This was when the coach used to leave at midnight for long journeys up North,so arriving at around 7-8am.
The usual crowd were aboard as far as I can remember including Sally,The Family,Buster.
Can never remember how we whiled away all the time.but I do remember walking through the town with my scarf on which was not a very good idea in those days.
I got spotted by(I think)by a group Man U fans who were waiting for a coach to go to Manchester.
They surrounded me and demanded me to give them my scarf,I was s*i* scared but in the end they left me alone and I still had my scarf.
We also whiled away the time by having a kick around outside Feethams.I remember lending my trainers to a lad who didn`t have the right shoes on to play football.
Inside the ground we were approached by some Darlo fans who were much more friendlier than the Man U ones.
They let us stand with them behind the goal at the open terrace end,but in the end we stood in the main stand enclosure.
When we scored the winning goal and celebrated there was no hassle from the Darlo fans at all,in fact some of them applauded us.
