The "Banjo" feature in Princess Gardens looks in its pomp on the cover of that 1962 programme - unlike the shabby state of affairs we see now.
Mind you, I like the sound of a "quickie lunch for United supporters" at The Grange on Babbacombe sea front and what could be more glamorous than a night out at the Football Queen contest at...er...Ilminster. Better than Chard, I suppose!
Offers for Ernie Pym? He scored nineteen league goals that season from the wing in a relegated team - but the big move never came. He stayed around until 1964/65 before moving on to Poole Town. What was the story? How good was he?
Roy Sproson in the Vale line-up - he went on to play 760 league games for the club (and his nephew Phil later made over 400 league appearances for Port Vale).
And, as the Trekker says, Let em' hear you at Brixham! (not on days like today I'm afraid).
