Many thanks Timbo, so the end of free transfers as such as clubs now had to pay £250 to the league and £250 to the player they were signing on.
Another programme were we learn TUFC fans have not been behaving themselves, the threat that the mini stand could be closed if the hooligans do not mend their ways.

As I remember it, he was a centre-forward in his early days at Sunderland. I'd always thought he started as a centre-forward and was converted to a centre-half at Sunderland.

As I remember it, he was a centre-forward in his early days at Sunderland. I'd always thought he started as a centre-forward and was converted to a centre-half at Sunderland. I see Wiki thinks the same as me - but who believes anything they read on Wiki? Watson was born in Stapleford, Nottinghamshire, and started his career in 1966 as a striker with hometown club Notts County, before moving to Rotherham United in 1968.
In 1970 he journeyed to the north-east, where Sunderland boss Bob Stokoe converted him from centre forward to the defensive position
