When I was young Leeds was the team so many of my mates supported, top flight team and in Europe. While we are all aware of the more recent history surrounding Leeds, I had hoped that they would win yesterday. I know their fans have history as well, but Leeds is a club that really should be playing in a higher league.
Mind you teams are where they are for a reason, I remember as a young man watching Oxford (then in the top division) playing in what was then called The Milk Cup, at Wembley, now look where they are.
