You may think it odd for this to be on our forum!! I was in the RAF at West Drayton and my mate was a Peterborough fan. As Reading was just down the road we jumped in his Datsun Cherry and sped down to Elm Park. I can't remember the score but I've been looking through my old programmes tonight and noticed some names we should all know Peterborough David Seaman, Ray Hankin Reading Laurie Sanchez, Trevor Senior Linesman Paul Alcock but no sign of Di Canio ;D

Jimmy Holmes, ex-Coventry, Spurs, Ireland and - by then - ex Torquay United.
Stuart Beavon father of Stuart, ex-Weymouth and now Wycombe.
Dean Horrix later to die in a car crash.
Alan Waddle, John Wile...and Mike Imlach (son of Stuart) for anyone who has read his brother's wonderful My Father and Other Working Class Heroes.
