As we've, finally, concluded the 2nd round game against Stockport with a fine 4-0 win away from home (as it was for them!) here is the programme from the game against Birmingham City in the 3rd round played on the 7th of January 1956 in which we lost 7-1 in front of a crowd of 18,730... Playing for Birmingham that day was Gordon Astall who, of course, finished his career at Plainmoor after leaving Birmingham. Interesting that the Board felt the need to make a statement refuting the allegation that the club didn't want promotion. And a bit of a link with the past... On the back page an advert for A.C. Bulpin & Son, car dealers. The '& Son', Ian Bulpin, is still a fairly regular visitor to Plainmoor as one of the Shaldon crowd who are friends of Paul Buckle's.

Who needs to collect old programs any more? There all on here! How about this for an idea, make a program copyable for a small fee so collectors can collect electronic copies of the programs that they miss or need to collect and the money raised goes towards the site being add free and any left over can go to a charity that everyone agrees with like Clic Sergent! It might work!

Don't think I would be allowed to charge anyone for a copy of a programme image aussie. But I'm very keen for any offer so the TFF can drop the proboards from its url, so we can just be torquayfansforum.com. It won't cost a great deal and would be so much better for the site.
