Although we have had a very slow start to this season, I refuse to look too negatively into it. I instead wish to remain positive and take a glass half full approach. Take a look at Aldershot last year. They had a slow start, a few losses at the beginning of the season. It took them a little while to get on their feet and get the ball rolling. I mean, we absolutely thrashed them 3-0 right at the very beginning of the season (and still to this day does that game remain my favourite game of last season, with the 3goal comeback away at Oxford following closely behind). Recalling back to that night they didn't seem anything too special, nothing that screamed "Wow they are blatantly going to walk this league". Yet come mid-season and their they are at the top of the league. What a fantastic turn around they produced, and although it may have been more exciting and interesting last season if we had perhaps been challenging for the title with them, it got to the point where I was happy they were being promoted as they thoroughly deserved it. Obviously, my heart was then set on winning the play-offs, but that was to no avail. My point is, Yes we can all get frustrated and annoyed and lose any hope that we may, just may, get promoted this season. But at the end of the day staying positive seems to be the best option. I for one would rather have our slip up now rather than later in the season or even in the run-in like last season.
Who knows, maybe we could be the Aldershot of this season?
COME ON YOU YELLOWS
