This really saddens me. Where has there been personal insult against PB? Debating his selections, tactics and results are part and parcel of football fans and their team. Whoever is throwing their weight around should be named and shamed. Either that or have them put their bricks back in their pram. Right behind you Dave............erm even if it is quite a long way behing you  To be honest, this sort of reaction serves to confirm what many of us think already.  |

Dave R you have done a FANTASTIC job with this forum and I thoroughly enjoy reading through the threads and posts on here. I feel upset on your behalf that you feel you cannot now enjoy a hobby you have enjoyed for 40 years. I hope you will decide to resume games after today and hope to see you at plainmoor in the near future. I feel many of the 'views' aimed towards you have been unfair and yes, teetering on personal jabs. It seems a shame that the member directing their opinion to you cannot do so for all to see - instead opting for a PM as the last word (or so it seems after reading through the posts)- maybe realizing that the majority of fans on this site will NOT agree with the accusations being made. Dave R keep up the good work and please keep standing your ground as you have done so far. |

I do not believe there is any personal insults on the forum, I believe all the member have posted their views and that is all.
Like I said I can understand how Sean feels, but think Its unfair to blame me. I'm always free to talk.

I don't know you personally Dave, but you seem like a genuinely nice bloke and a devoted fan...There is absolutely no reason why you should tolerate being patronised and unfairly accused..Perhaps the people throwing their weight around against Dave should assess their own "thin skins" "sense of perspective" and approach to myopic personal battles..

Your posts are balanced and considered and never personal. It is a very unpleasant accusation take have been made towards you.
This is a open free speeking forum, not a club mouthpiece. This is about airing views and sensible debate. If there is anyone at the club who feels that is not acceptable then they need to look at themselves not us.

Thanks patrickm,tufcwewillbeback and Jamie, for your support, plus anyone I have missed, the post was only made by me as I felt it was unfair, did not expect so many nice remarks to be made.
Time to concentrate on the football and where we go from here.

Chin up, Dave You've done an excellent job so far but as young Louis Higgins found, you can't please all of the people all of the time. I enjoy both forums and will continue to post what I believe is right. If that offends someone then I'm sorry but that doesn't change my opinion. I have not read anything by you that should prompt such criticism. If the team were playing the football we were promised, then there would be no complaints. |
