Below are a couple of articles sent in to me by Junior Gulls!! Thank you to Thomas & Adam.
MEETING THE PLAYERS AT PAIGNTON COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Today we met the players after a training session at Paignton Community College; the sun came out and we all had a good time. I took penalties against Scott Bevan and passed the ball with Chris Zebroski, the players were very helpful making our day a happy one.
I was able to put some signatures in my autograph book which was cool, meeting the players has made my holiday and I can’t wait for the next time.
Thank you to Louise and the committee for organising it.

Torquay United V Accrington Stanley – 27 February 2010
Well not a great performance but still a valuable 3 points in our bid for survival. Some may say we were lucky but I think we deserved a bit of luck. Especially with the officials we’ve had lately not to mention Mr Singh’s not so great performance.
It was nice to see Wayno back as well. It just goes to show how one player can not just change a team but the whole game, at least this time it was a good change and Carlisle straight away played a brilliant ball to Benyon who was unlucky but in came Mr consistant (Lee Mansell) slight deflection but hey WE SCORED!!!
Once Stanley had brought their lightning winger on we were pegged back a bit and mid-way through the second half up popped Michael Symes, Stanley’s top scorer who in fact had been in a bit of a personal goal drought, it was his first goal in 8 games.
But hard work and again, a bit of luck involved, a hopeful punt forward from United’s Chris Robertson found on-loan Plymouth star Ashley Barnes who chested it down for Accrington’s Darran Kempson to poke the ball into his own net but to be fair it was a pretty good finish right into the top corner.
But one of the main talking points for me was why a certain Jake Thomson didn’t even make the bench after so many good performances though.
But a win is a win and we’ll hope for another good performance and hopefully another much needed win to keep us were we should be (in the football league)!!!
