Hello Every One, As I am sure you will agree that our Junior Gulls are the future supporters of Torquay United. The newly formed Junior Gulls is self funding and we have come up with this idea to raise money. We need to raise money to help us do even more things with the Juniors, so your support for this would be greatly appreciated. It is a Sponsorship Draw, costing £10 per ticket, it is open to individuals as well as businesses as well, the flyer below explains what you would get for your £10 if you have the winning ticket. The draw will take place on 11 March in the Gulls Nest and any one who has purchased a ticket will be invited to this event. To purchase tickets or for more info on joining your child / children, grand children to the Junior Gulls please contact me on 077899 02182 or email louisejuniorgulls@hotmail.co.uk or P'm me. Many thanks Louise Shaw Junior Gulls Manager

Having finally got round to posting to Lou (with you soon), I feel suitably qualified to urge people to support Lou's very hard work, as ever, on this. It might be a cliche that they are the future of the Club, but its a true one.

Lou has just phoned me just as she was about to dash for the train to get to Plainmoor for tonights quiz that is taking place in NO 10’s. I did tell the dear lady to not over do things as she was also there last night for the draw for the Junior Gulls.
She has asked me to thank everyone on her behalf who bought a ticket for the draw for the Junior Gulls and while I do not know the total of tickets sold, I’m sure she told me the other day that she had herself had sold £2000 worth, I may have got the figure slightly wrong, but she has worked beyond the call of duty to raise so much money for our Junior Gulls and deserves so much praise.
The winning ticket was bought by L.J. Boyce

That is a really impressive sum of money - fantastic stuff. The importance of giving these youngsters "the TUFC bug" shouldn't be underestimated in terms of our future support!!

I would hope that the club are going to do something for Lou at the end of the season to reconize all the fantastic work she does, if they don`t then I bloody well will, who`s with me?

And well deserved considering the length of time they've been behind the Gulls... as seen from the 1947/48 handbook!
