Watched the Wrexham v Oxford game on Setanta and both sides looked a gulf ahead of us in all departments. They looked Premiership to our pub side performance on Monday.
No lazily walking around the pitch some slick passing two quality goals with many near misses. Oxford also looked a pretty good unit and will do very well when thney get in there stride, how they didnt score even after having a man sent of early I just dont know. A high quality match at this level with ex Gull loanee Kyle Critchell shining on his debut and front man Jefferson Louis looking way above this standard - on the night anyway.

It's going to be a long cold and disappointing winter I fear!

Wouldn't it also be nice to have a proper 6"5 defender in the central of defence?!

Are you sure you are referring to the right match? Some people on this forum claim this type of football isn't possible in the BSP??? ;D

I know it was against 10 men for 80 mins but you could see there effective style. There is Long Ball and there is a Direct style and playing in the final 3rd. Unfortunately we are now playing the former.

Pete f I think so many have felt we will walk the league this season, but that is not going to be the case, its fans who's expectations are far too high, that are now getting to over concerned and far to early. Sides that play football will always look good on the eye and teams playing football will win games, I know we have the players who can really play the game, players need to play in correct positions and start getting back to the basics of the game. Lets hope when we meet Wrexham our team is playing that sort of football and make Wrexham look like a pub-side
