Calling all you alchies!! i used to do home brew about 20 years ago and it was fussy and messy. i used to brew beer, wine and coolers.
About 6 months ago my mate started brewing by buying kits on the internet. Wow, great quality and so simple.
I then found/rediscovered Newton Abbot Market. what a great little market and even better since its facelift. There is a great little home brew stall with very friendly and helpful staff. I now buy for me and my mate as we get a 10% loyalty rebate and therefore cheaper than the internet and supporting a local business. they also do internet sales for those of you who can't get down as often as i do.
What could be easier? 5 litres of grape concentrate, water and yeast in a bin for 5 days followed by stabiliser and finings. on day 7 you have 28 bottles of chardonnay or whatever you like at a £1 a bottle. Tastes as good as you will buy in co-op, tescos etc.
