I have just noticed this in league 2
Bournemouth and Rotherham deducted 17 points by the Football League.
Luton deducted 10 points by the FA and 20 points by the Football League.
Anyone know what is it all about?
I was hoping that Exeter would come back down next season but I cant see it happening with those point deductions.

Rotherham have managed back to back wins so they should be fine.
Luton won today but the severity of their punishment means they really could struggle to keep the club going let alone stay in the league.
Having said that, on the pitch, Luton have some decent players that may well be good enough to overturn the huge deduction.
I dont know much about the punishments but with Luton one, i think, is for entering administration and one for "irregular payments to agents."
Whatever the effects of these points deductions turn out to be, it is only the fans that suffer. Both Luton and Bournmouth could face extinction or a severe drop down the divisions.
Just afew years ago Halifax were a football league side and now their fans have to watch them play way down the non league ladder.
The points deduction situation is a debatable one. Bussiness people who fail to run football clubs proparly should surely be the ones that recieve the punishments. However, it can be hard to punish them without punishing the clubs and their fans.

I know Merse will have some views on this, but I fully agree tufcwewillbeback, it is the fans who really do get punished.
To support any team and then to see it fall in the way some of these clubs have and why? because as you say, business people who fail to run football clubs properly.
Have no fears, if we had not got Roberts out when we did, we may well have seen the end of our club as we know it. It would not have been long before we would have been playing the likes of Dawlish.
This is why fans really should be so thankful to our board we have now, they have put our club back together, having to completely rebuild everything and they have not finished yet.
Its also the reason we need to keep faith with their choice of manager, they are backing him 100% and we really all need to.I have said already I believe he has learned from his mistakes and is the man to get us promoted.
I feel everywhere I go, people I meet, all seem to have an air of gloom around them, no not football fans just everyday people. Yes things are not so good, bills, food, every day things, prices going through the roof. So its no wonder many are finding it hard to get to enthusiastic, even about football, or even posting on a forum.
We will all get through this, we won't starve, we may well have to make some cutbacks, thats for sure, but just maybe our club, will carry us through this, give us the hight spots we all need at this time. So start looking forward to Mondays game, fingers crossed, we will win and maybe for a day or two, life won't seem so bad.

Do you know how hard it is to pick up those elephant droppings, even harder getting them into a plastic sack, leave old Jimd alone, what with all his time at the zoo and so much more spent in the loo, how do you expect him to keep up with the news ;D ;D
