When I got to the Railway Vue we could hear plenty of tribal noises coming out of the building indicating that it was mob full of the Yellow Army. Trying to squeeze past all the spotty faced youth gathered around the pool table trying to figure out whether or not they possessed a collective fifty pee to actually use the bloody thing was bad enough, but to see them in the ground (compromising almost fifty per cent of the whole crowd) and hardly make a discernible sound was laughable. Emulating sheep or one of those avian phenomena when they all mysteriously departed the bar at once - without a word spoken amongst them was amusing, but contemplating such a gathering when we go to North Wales to play Wrexham had my imagination working overtime....................." Sheepshaggers"? they'll 'ave 'em for breakfast! ;D

Your just getting old mate ;D it does not matter if they have spots or not, they ARE Tuafc fans, who have paid money to travel and watch the game.
I do not think there is a need to make any such remarks toward any of our fans. In most groups of people, there will always be some who lead and some who follow, it does not mean they like sheep.

I'm not "getting old" at all Dave, I've already got old! You should know me by now...................it was tongue in cheek an old Morroccan dish (mutton based) By the way, the "elevated" view at Bridge Road was not forthcoming. Despite being informed by the ticket office that seats in the main stand were all allocated to ticket holders, I spotted many vacant ones just before kick-off so decided to go and sit in one (or ten) only to find the reason they were not sat in was because they had horribly obstructed views or were covered in rain water. The architect was obviously a blind but piss poor weather forecaster! I decamped to row four at the very back of the opposite stand on the half way line and enjoyed an excellent dry and unobstructed view of the game.

I know mate, but I still feel tongue in cheek or not, fans should not make remarks of that nature about fellow fans. Good to see that you can still give a good match report, from seats far to low for you, so well done on that anyway. Ps is this the correct place for this thread?

It was indeed pretty boisterous in the pub beforehand. We did actually joke that once in the ground it would be almost total silence. How right we were. What ever happened to the good old days when we were well known for our vocal away support?
Mind you at £3.10 a pint of fosters I think the silence was probably caused more by shock! ;D

Actually, Merse..if my memory serves me right you was going to buy me a pint but you were too busy being sick over H's shoes??? ;D ;D Uhuh ha, "don't puke on my blue suede shoes"..............nor completely ruin them by adorning them with carrots, stale German beer, or any other vomitted detritus - and why do carrots always seem to come into the equation? Come to think of it, why is it only when I am in the company of certain people I get into that state? Come to think of it, will we ever see the War Memorial in Kirkudbright again? Come to think of it, if I'd used that tin foil dish to catch the ruddy vomit; I could have re-cycled my Chinese and had a free breakfast!
