If you think that footballs end of season "play offs" are unfair spare a thought for the players who will soon be taking part in rugby unions championship post season action. I find most competitive sports interesting and in most cases respect the sportsmen and women who play them but to have promotion and relegation from a 14 team, 26 game season, decided in 3 weeks at the end of the regular season is absurd and an insult to the players.
I think the top eight play off against each other with the winner of 3 games on the spin gaining promotion to Rugby's promised land and the bottom four play against each other with the side losing two games on the trot being relegated.
Plymouth Albion may be 37 points behind the current league leaders but they will be in an eight team tournament 3 games away from promotion if they can finish in eighth place or higher at the end of the season.
RIDICULOUS.
