On a rare visit back home to NA at that time, I popped along to a match at Plainmoor, and bumped into one of the players from my time working at Plainmoor (76-84 was it?) Jes Payne who was visiting from his home in Taunton (he had been playing for Yeovil up until then)I think the opposition were Scarborough, but to be honest we were both so distraught at the state we found our old club in, we gave mostof the match a miss and went for a walk down on the sea front!
Sums up those grim days and puts the present time into important perspective from my point of view.
