Histon Football Club, made contact last night, with the Torquay Fans Forum. The thread are you going to Histon had been brought to their attention. Their main inquiry was to confirm that the poster on this forum, know as Merse, was in fact the well know football critic.
The forum confined that this was the case, so Histon then went on to fully explain that their reason for needing to contact the forum, was to make sure it was who they thought he was. It appears their main concern for Saturdays match was the lack of any high seating, that such a well known football critic would need, to be able to give a proper and accurate account of the game.
They have got back to the forum this morning and feel that they now have the answer to the problem. One of the players, best mates dads, ex wifes, new partner, works for the local lighting department. he has agreed to bring his high platform lift vehicle to the match on Saturday.
This will be parked outside the main stand and when extended, will reach over the roof of the main stand. The forum has been very happy to help Histon sort this problem out. We feel at the forum that we would rather have a good, proper and correct report appear on here, rather than those poor and inaccurate reports seem on other forums, due to the low seating position, of the reporter.
Histon has asked that Merse gets to the ground one hour before kick off, so they can get him in the lift, put a blanket on him and get a flask of tea made for him, to use while up there.
So if you are at the ground, please wave to our Merse, he may not see you, well who the hell can see anything that high up anyway; ;D ;D
