I see Sepp Blatter is stating that he would welcome a GB Football squad for the 2012 Olympics that comprised entirely of English players....................so would I!The whingeing Scots are distancing themselves from it because of some cock and hoop story that they think it would compromise their autonomy within FIFA which is pure bunkum, and a shameful example of "blazers" denying youth their opportunity.
What they really fear is that NONE of their players would get into such a squad based on players under the age of 23 and the so called "nation" couldn't stomach such a slap in the face.
Maybe someone like Aaron Ramsey who got his education in the English Football League could compensate for the handicap of being born Welsh to make a once and for all contibution to a major world football tournament as a member of the GB squad in his own right.
I only hope that when the time comes, there are no "political" selections merely to appease the Northern Irish and Welsh that will weaken the squad and the Scots can go boil their heads as they love to say up there in Chilly Jocko Land! ;D
