Yes, the news reports today say that the cancer has been almost completely eradicated from his body. Fingers/eyes/legs crossed! He is a great guy and lets hope that he truly is beating it once and for always!

He really was in a bad way at one stage and it is always nice to see something positive in someones personal battle with this killer disease

I was very pleased with how well he looked and he did say he will be having further surgery in the New Year. We never think sports persons will end up facing life threatening illnesses, we see than as fit super humans, but the fact is anyone can get cancer.
Its amazing just how positive those who have it are, maybe it’s the build in thing we all have that makes us just want to live, they will know their odds have changed so much, it’s the reason I think you can’t hold your breath and die, your body won’t give in that easily.
I grew up looked after by people in the Salvation Army, so god was at that time something that was a part of my life whether I liked it or not, but while I would still like to believe there really was a god, I have found it harder as I have got older to believe there really could be one.
I always described myself as the god of my tropical fish tank, I created the world in which all my fish lived and I controlled who could like in my tank. But you see those green stickers on the tanks in the fish shop don’t always mean one fish is going to be the proper community fish he was meant to be.
Still you believe he is going to be based on the green sticker and you take him home and introduce him to what should be all his friends and in your tank he will live happy ever after.
Only the next morning you notice some of your fish have damage to their fins and tails, now you don’t really want to go blaming that new fish, but while you don’t want it to be him, you know it probably is.
So as it gets dark you turn out the light in the tank and sit and watch and soon that fish is biting the tails of the other fish again. On you put the light and get the net, catch the thing and sorry but down the toilet the bloody thing goes.
Well I take the view if you can’t live peacefully with the other fish and I have no where else to keep you, it’s the only place you can go. But then that’s me just the god of the fish tank, but If god did create us and the world, why does he not do as I did with my fish tank world.
Why does he let the good people get illnesses and let then die, why does he let the bad people live? I challenged a vicar when a young child I knew died, he said god wanted that child and she was going to a nice place. Really? Sorry I said does he not have enough children up there all ready, sorry but the family and all that loved that child wanted her to stay here.
I don’t understand any of it, I only wish I did, but please make sure you enjoy and do all the things you want to do in your life, because no one knows just what might be around the corner waiting for us.

Dave you can`t put siclids with any other type of fish because they are bastards and kill everything in the tank unless they can out power them i.e. phiranas or sharks, they really are arse hole fish, they do look good though! A god should know all his creatures!
