The forum as just finished its first month as completely ad free, for its signed in members. What happens is that for seven dollars, seven credits can be bought, then seven credits must be applied to the month. Seven credits equals 50.000 page views for signed in members. I have it set so guests who view the forum don't use up the ad free page views.
Sadly the credits don't run over into the next month, in July our members enjoyed 49.758 ad free page view, but had 50.000 been used say by the 29th of the month, the forum would have had to have the ads for a few days, as putting on seven more credits, would have meant, we would have wasted most of them.
At the start of July one member bought the forum fourteen credits($14) unsure if this was a one off offer, I sent a pm, to ask, but received no reply, so I have to take it that it was.
I would really like to keep the forum ad free, I feel none of us should have to have certain adverts pushed in our faces. I will buy some credits for the forum, but come next week, I believe the forum will use more than 100.000 page views a month.
I don't think we will be able this year to proceed with a player sponsorship, but I hope next year as we would have more members and more time we could. If any members would like to help keep the forum ad free, I would be grateful.
On the bottom of the home page is a link to make the forum ad free. Clicking it takes you to a page where any member could buy credits for the forum to use. So it could be seven credits at a cost of seven dollars. Once paid they are added to my ad free control page. If any member would like to help and does buy some credits, please pm me, so I can make sure the forum got the credits,or you could just post on this thread, so other members may wish to thank you.
Any credits that are purchased simply add to the total the forum has to use and not just for this month, so it does not matter how many are bought at anytime, as I would only apply seven at a time as and when needed
Please only do this if you can afford to help and please don't feel that you would need to as a member.
