It'll soon be time for the REAL stuff to start and we commence on Saturday week at Histon.For those of you who were there last season, there have been rapid changes for the better with the extension to the Main Stand fully operational now and the far covered side being converted to all seater (only 4 rows deep!) which is where us more discerning Gulls can watch from if we don't want to be behind the goal.
The nearby Railway Vue was an excellent pre-match pub with good beer and food last season and is less than 10 minutes walk from the ground and only 5 if you bust through the hedge!
I would recommend The Blue Square Premier League Ground Guide website (Google it) as the best form of reference as regards photos and how to get there, but basically The Glassworld Stadium is on the road into Impington from jct 32 of the A14 not fifteen minutes north of Cambridge United's ground!
Anyone in the London area who would like to minimise their travel costs to this rather difficult to get to by public transport venue, feel free to PM me on this site asap and I'll do my best to co-ordinate you into the Capital Gulls travelling arrangements which (if you manage to get included in my car) carry a health warning due to excessive bad taste in banter, jokes, music and flatulence!
Oh, OK as regards the latter I don't think the missus is including Histon on her Pan European Must Visit itinerary just yet!!!! ;D
